It is the mission of the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM ®) to enhance real estate careers and promote its "Industry Best Practices" through IREM ® educational courses, seminars, and industry events. The Chapter desires to reach out to and assist those who are interested in pursuing an education in real estate management and achieving an IREM credential.
In an effort to achieve this goal, the Chapter created a Scholarship Fund through generous contributions made by our members and industry partners, "Friends of IREM."
A scholarship fund committee, an independent body of Chapter volunteers, whose task is to distribute scholarships on a fair and equitable basis, administers the Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship Fund Committee's programs are designed to minimize the financial burdens associated with higher education, permitting the recipients to devote more time to pursuing their academic goals and advancing their leadership skills.
The Scholarship Fund Committee has developed six programs providing scholarship recipients with an opportunity to take advantage of the many educational offerings of the Institute. Each program has specific guidelines the committee uses in evaluating a scholarship request. The criteria indicated are guidelines only; each application will be reviewed based on individual merit, financial need, and the availability of scholarship funds. (Use the links on this page to see the criteria for each program.)
