EMPLOYMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
OPENING DATE: October 1, 2011

JOB TITLE: Part-Time Membership & Marketing Coordinator
SALARY: $10-$15 hour; based upon experience
HOURS: Twenty (20) Hours Weekly; Monday-Friday Preferred (Flexible & Negotiable)
REPORTS TO: IREM Association Executive or Executive Director
BASIC JOB FUNCTION:
The Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM®) Greater Los Angeles is a non-profit professional association of real estate managers. The Administrative Assistant & Marketing Coordinator provides administrative support for the Executive Director and serves as marketing coordinator for chapter communications, events and prepares marketing materials.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Responsible for daily Chapter communications including answering phones, retrieving messages from the voicemail mailbox and responding to email inquires
- Responsible for communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
- Assist in the mailing of event marketing materials, annual membership billing, membership information, etc
- Responsible for copying and filing all of the office documents
- Running errands- post office, bank, Office Depot, board members offices
- Assist in the preparation of board meetings (preparing materials for the members, help in setting up the room, confirming the location of the meeting, confirming lunch or any other necessary items)
- Assist in preparation of all educational course and events (follow up on the location of the events and speakers, assist in the set up of the events at the venues, create name tags for all attendees, in charge of the registration table, lay out all the marketing material for the IREM and upcoming events, etc)
- Providing administrative aid for various projects related to market, which includes project meetings schedule, minutes of meeting, transcribe notes and compose memos.
- Assist in developing media packs as well as participating in conferences and trade shows as needed
- Assist in the registration of attendees for all the events and courses
- Responsible for calling members for past dues payments, guest names for events, etc
- Responsible for updating the membership database with payments of dues, events they have attended, and contact information
MARKETING
- Assist in creating marketing materials for IREM events and courses
- Monitoring online blogs/media (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) for tracking communications related to the brand of a company.
- Responsible for keying information into computer equipment to create layouts for client or supervisor.
- Assist in developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
- Responsible for preparing illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with clients or supervisors and making necessary changes.
- Assist in developing graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and Internet websites.
- Responsible for maintaining archive of images, photos, or previous work products.
Experience Requirements
- Must be well versed in the Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Publisher)
- Knowledge of database, photo and media software
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Customer service oriented
- Positive, professional attitude and able to work as a team player
- Detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Proactive problem solving
- Ability to self manage
- Flexibility in hours

Commercial Real Estate company seeks qualified full-time Property Manager to handle approximately 1 million square feet in office and retail space.
Required Qualifications:
- Current DRE License
- Yardi experience
- Three years of experience as a commercial real estate Property Manager
- Proficient computer skills, Excel and Word a must
- Strong organizational skills
Responsibilities include:
- Rent collections
- Handle 3-day notices
- Coordinate maintenance and repair requests
- Review and approve proposals from vendors
- Manage tenant improvement work, from bids through completion
- Generate monthly PM operations reports and variance reports
- Track vendor and tenant insurance
- Prepare annual property budgets
