Scholarships

Welcome to the IREM-LA Scholarship Fund webpage where you can apply for a Scholarship to assist you with the financial responsibilities of your real estate education. Before proceeding to the application process, let me explain a bit about the Los Angeles IREM Chapter’s Scholarship Fund (“The Fund”).

The mission statement of The Fund is to enhance real estate careers and promote the Institute’s “Industry Best Practices” through IREM® educational courses, seminars, and industry events. The Fund reaches out to and assists those interested in pursuing an education in real estate management and achieving an IREM credential.

In an effort to achieve this goal, the Scholarship Fund was created and is made possible through generous contributions made by our members and benefactors.

A Fund Committee, which is made up of past IREM-LA Chapter presidents and officers administers The Fund. They volunteer their time to raise monies and award scholarships on a fair and equitable basis. The Fund Committee designs programs tailored to minimize the financial costs associated with higher education, permitting the recipients to devote more time to pursuing their academic goals and advancing their leadership skills.

The Scholarship Fund Committee operates under the guidelines of an Operating Directive which has been approved by the IREM-LA Chapter Board. Based on this, the Committee has developed and presently offers six programs providing scholarship recipients with an opportunity to take advantage of the many educational offerings of the Institute. Each program has specific guidelines the Committee uses in evaluating a scholarship request (see Program Guidelines on this page). The criteria indicated are guidelines only; each application will be reviewed based on individual merit, financial need, and the availability of scholarship funds.

Please feel free to apply by contacting the IREM-LA Chapter Administrator, at 213-633-1990.

The Fund Committee wishes you all the best in your educational aspirations and looks forward to your continued involvement with the Los Angeles IREM Chapter!
